Bill Henkel, ASLA, Owner

Bill Henkel, a founding partner of Henkel Denmark, describes his passion as “building beautiful, functional spaces, and great gardens.” His specialty at Henkel Denmark is creating and building with nursery and masonry materials.

Bill became a Kentucky Registered Landscape Architect and began practicing in 1976. He is a member of both the Kentucky Society of Landscape Architects (KSLA) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Bill is involved in the Downtown Lexington Corporation, and has just completed a term on Spindletop Hall’s Board of Directors.

Bill has lived in Central Kentucky since childhood. He owns a farm in Bourbon County where he raises many of the materials used on projects. Bill lives in Lexington where he enjoys life with three wonderful daughters, his wife Dr. Mitzi Henkel, and stepchildren Fritz and Adeline. Email Bill
